Hi, my name is Kathy. I have been working in the field of Veterinary medicine for 30 years. I have been here at SVESC since 2011. My job duties include, caring for our Pet Hotel guests, some post- operative surgical nursing and sometimes I help out in our emergency department. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family or working in my yard.
I started working for Dr. Frey in May of 2016. I was hired to work part time in the pet hotel. I love taking care of and spoiling the dogs and cats that stay with us. I treat all of them like they were my own. When I’m not working I take care of my two disabled dogs and diabetic cat. I also volunteer at a local animal shelter.
As the daughter of a veterinarian, I’ve had a lifetime of experience working with animals. After I graduated from CSU Monterey Bay in 2011 with a BA in social work, I joined the staff at the Veterinary Specialty Center. My primary role is in the hotel, but I also participate as a veterinary assistant in the hospital. I find all aspects of animal care to be rewarding and educational.
