Andrew J Frey, DVM, Diplomate ACVS
Dr. Frey graduated from the University Of California School Of Veterinary Medicine at Davis in 1974. He then completed a small animal internship at the University of Pennsylvania and a small animal surgical residency at the University of Georgia. After serving as staff surgeon in specialty hospitals in Los Angeles, San Diego and Sacramento, Dr. Frey achieved board certification in small animal surgery in 1981. He later moved to Manteca where he established the Animal Referral Center in 1984 as a small animal surgical referral practice. The practice was moved to Stockton in 2010 as the Veterinary Specialty Center of Stockton.
Jenny has worked as a Veterinary assistant for 17 years and has worked for Dr. Frey for 10 years. She has advanced to the position of Senior Surgical Nurse. She is the mother of two teenage daughters and has 3 dogs and 3 cats. On weekends, Jenny enjoys watching her daughter's soccer games. Her nickname at the hospital is "Radar" because she always knows what Dr. Frey is thinking.
Robin earned a B.A. in Psychology and Criminal Justice at Michigan State University and studied at Western Career College to earn a degree as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She has worked in the veterinary field since 1996, mainly in Emergency and Critical Care. Robin is the mother of 2 and has 15 rescue cats and 2 dogs.
Heather began working as a kennel assistant for Dr. Frey while still in High School. She advanced into a reception position and is in the process of becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. She has now worked for Dr. Frey for 12 years.
Tisha has worked in veterinary general practice since 2001, after she earned a degree in Veterinary Technology. She began working for Dr. Frey in 2004 and moved to the Veterinary Specialty Center in 2007. Tisha has 2 children and two dogs.
As the daughter of a veterinarian, Margot Frey has had a lifetime of experience working with animals. She graduated from CSU Monterey Bay in 2011 with a B.A. in Social Work. Shortly after, Margot began working at the V.S.C. in the Pet Hotel and as a veterinary assistant. She finds helping with all aspects of animal care to be rewarding and educational.
Dorinda has been working in the veterinary field for 12 years. She is a licensed Phlebotomist and a licensed Pharmacy Technician. Dorinda also owns and runs a horse boarding ranch at her home. She has 2 horses, 3 dogs, 4 cats.
